By adding a simple url shortened link to your tweets you can drive valuable visitors from Twitter to your website, every time you tweet.
And all those shortened urls will be passed around on Twitter and end up on many other websites, all bringing traffic back to your site. I’ve also found that Google has now started indexing the more popular shortened url, thus bringing in further traffic.
I’ve found that for every 100 followers you have you can get 3 or 4 visitors targeted to the page of your choice.

David – you guys are the perfect balance I think – you offer so much useful information for free encouraging sharing and helping which is fab! It is so much appreciated by a novice like me. Thank you so much.
Hi Bee,
Thank you for the great feedback. It is good to know you’re finding the tips and tutorials we publish useful.
I think shortened link will not take an effect.. Its better full url..and will be indexed by google…faster…!!!
It is said that the shortened links are not so good with the search engines, but it can be difficult to get a full url into a tweet, and Twitter will shorten it anyway. Good point though.
HI does it not irritate your followers when you push products so much though? I worry i wil over do it
I think as long as you offer them something free as well, people don’t seem to mind so much. I’ve got the free SEO tips, and then underneath is a link to an SEO Tutorial. I think this is better than having ads all other the site.
