If you have a unique business name there is is very quick way to find out how far it has spread over the internet.

Just enter info:yourbusinessname into Google and press search. Google will find all mentions of the name from its search results. So for example info:reallysimpleseo

What does this mean? In simple terms Google is just finding incidents of the name on all sorts of other websites and counting them up. But if you are using a unique name it’s also telling you how far the name has spread over the internet. Or to put it another way it is showing you where people are finding your brand on the web.

If you spend a little time going through the results you’ll also get an idea of just where your brand is turning up. You might be surprised at the results!
